Cremation does not take the place of customary funeral ceremonies; it is merely another form of final disposition. Most people who choose cremation still want to have some sort of ceremony or final tribute. Funeral ceremonies are the way we, the living share our grief, acknowledge the contribution the deceased had made in our lives, and prepare ourselves for going on with our lives.

On-Site Crematory

At Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home and Crematory we have established our own on-site crematory, giving the area the only locally owned on-site crematory. This ensures that your loved one never leaves our care, giving us all peace of mind. This is very important to ensure peace of mind for you and your family. Because we own our own crematory, we have total control over the professional and ethical standards that are expected for all cremations.

Because we own our own crematory, we can ensure prompt attention to your needs. We are here to serve you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our new state-of-the art crematory is maintained at the highest possible standards and is environmentally safe.

Cremation is a matter of personal preference

Many people today are choosing cremation as an alternative to traditional burial and they are selecting from a wide range of commemorative services. Some prefer a religious service, memorial service, or traditional visitation, followed by cremation. Others choose direct cremation, with no service at all. After the cremation takes place, there are even more choices available. The family may decide to keep the cremated remains with many options of urns and keepsakes available, inter them, or scatter them in a special place.
